An industry can’t effectively serve women if they are not represented in key leadership and decision-making roles.”

Dianna Higgins is the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Investor Relations of Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation (MGIC). As part of USMI’s Q&A series celebrating prominent women leaders in housing finance, Dianna provided advice to younger women seeking to enter the industry and aspiring to become leaders. She also highlighted the need for more intentional focused conversations and initiatives around diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), both from women and men in leadership roles, to promote and foster an inclusive environment.

Dianna Higgins Biography

Dianna Higgins is Senior Vice President of Investor Relations of MGIC Investment Corporation and MGIC.  In addition, Dianna co-manages and oversees MGIC’s reinsurance strategy and program and was a founding leader of MGIC’s first employee resource group focusing on women in the workplace. Dianna began her career with MGIC in 1996, holding positions of increasing responsibility and leadership in the Risk Management and Audit departments. Immediately prior to her current role, she served as Vice President – Internal Audit from 2018 to May 2022. Dianna holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Lakeland College and is a CPA.
